In December 2019, Sankofa Educators traveled to Ghana, West Africa to commemorate the Year of Return. August 2019 marked 400 years since enslaved Africans arrived in the United States. “The Year of Return, Ghana 2019” celebrated the resilience of all the victims of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

This transformative experience will be captured in our upcoming children’s book.
